Default Calling all London geezers: Top 10 spots in London

    Hi all

As part of my graphic design degree final major project ive decided to create a guide to street skating in London, basically its going to be a map showing street spots, bit like Harry's spots book but in a leaflet/guide form.

So what i need is, a list of the top 10 street spots in London to include in this guide. Il get a blog running on the design process so you guys can take a look and let me know what you like/dont like.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers peeps!

Depends what you call "Top 10 spots"... Best spots to skate at the moment or spots that have been in many vids and mags, and are therefore part of history of British skateboarding or something...

Canary Wharf, even if you always get kicked out, fantastic place.
    Meanwhile 2.
    Knightrider Court...

I saw a similar guide in Helsinki (I think, could've been Malmo...) and all the spots listed, aside from parks, were the likes of South Bank, Lloyds, etc. where you can skate all day & not be a liablity to pedestrians or fuck shit up for local skaters by visitors assuming that because spot X, say the london bridge 10, is fine to skate any time. Not every skater uses their brain.

I dont suppose you remember the name of the guide do you? I'd have to look at existing examples and that sounds perfect.

Yeh i guess the top 10 spots at the moment and of all time, i mean ill include SB and London Bridge 10, but newers ones like the elephant and castle spot would go in there too, unless i did a top 20 where i could fit all the classic spots in and then any new ones aswell.

What do you guys think of the idea? Ill include like nearby shops and eating places, maccy d's n such.
    Any suggestions?

    cheers!

Cool project! Maybe you could include:-

Best times to go to the spot
    Notable ABD's!
    Sketchiness factor
    Nearest hospital!

The 'Spot Check' articles in Sidewalk on new skateparks might be useful for you to use in your research..
