    Horrible news.

A true gent, skateboarding in the UK has lost one of its most celebrated & liked people. I'm genuinely sad and sorry to hear about this; deepest condolences to Voodoo, Calow and those on here who were his closest friends and to his family.

RIP Steve, you'll be sorely missed.

    Well put Ron. Good words.

Lynchpin to the North East. An integral part of UK skateboarding.
Always good for a long phone conversation, too!

    Much love Bingo.

I only met Bingo once, and very briefly, but he seemed like a genuinely good guy.

Sad news. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

Just got the news - really devastated. Bingo was such a nice bloke and did so much for the North East scene. Proud to have known him. Rest in peace, mate.

Damn i'm shocked. Gutted I never got to meet him face to face.

I spoke to him on the phone a bunch of times, initially as his involvement in the Prissick project meant that someone on the local authority side he'd worked with a lot ended up being involved down here. Top bloke, proper helpful and super friendly.

awful news, got a message this morning and figured it'd be verified/refuted on here. Really sorry to see it's been verified.

Didn't know Bingo outside a work capacity so can only comment in relation to that, but he was always a pleasure to deal with.

    RIP.

Such sudden and terribly sad news...

I only met met Bingo face to face a couple of times so I didn't know him well personally, but this has really shocked me. I know so many people in the north east and all over the UK who have nothing but the utmost love and respect for him, he was one of the good guys, and will be missed.

    Rest in peace.

Fuck! So it's for real. I saw it on twitter and didn't want to post anything direct in case I was (hopefully) wrong.

I never met Bingo and I only just found out it was Steve 75 on here.

He sent me a copy of NY Revisited and I'll always be very thankful for that.

My condolences to his family and friends and any skaters who knew him.

He'll be missed in the real world and on the forum.
    Rest in peace.

I don't really know what to say. I've had the pleasure of Bingo's company on many occasion on my trips to The North. He always called things for how they were and was straight down the line. We've lost one of the kingpins of British skateboarding and one of the few good humans I know...

I didn't want to put anything on here until there was word from his real friends. I only chatted to him on email and Facebook a few times really, but he was such a funny, pleasant bloke. Totally down for skateboarding.

Everything I've ever heard about him is what a pleasure it is to know him and is one of the most well respected members of the UK skateboarding community.

I feel so sorry for you guys who really knew him.
