The media will do what they did to Neil Kinnock when it comes to Corbyn. Anti-nuclear and Anti-Army in these troubled times, can't be trusted to keep the UK safe. It's far to easy to scare people.

Lib Dems are polling rather well actually. Things have moved on since the fees debacle. In any case, people seem to have forgotten that they were a minority in the coalition. What's somewhat remarkable about them is they were the only party to actually publicly acknowledge and apologise for going back on their own manifesto, and for that I do respect Nick Clegg. They are the only sizable party to have voted against the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. They also voted against the war in Iraq ('03) which is really what's to blame for all this anti-immigration/anti-EU, pro-authoritarian jingoistic sentiment so many are confounded by now.

An issue they do face, which is a little similar to the Corbyn factor, is that Tim Farron is sort of... well... dull.

The general election will have a massive effect on any proposed referendum here in Scotland.

If the English resoundingly vote Tory (as they usually do), the SNP will have every justification to try and get more independence for Scottish Political powers.

It will tip the balance for a lot of folk up here who still vote Labour to change their vote to SNP.

I would vote Corbyn, but what's the point? We've been voting Labour in Scotland for generations, and where has it got us?

Given our archaic voting system, the main thing that matters is to vote for whoever is most likely to defeat the Tories in your constituency. No matter your usual preference for Lib Dem vs Labour vs Green vs SNP/Plaid, it's vitally important not to give the Tories carte blanche to drag the country in the direction they want.

If you don't know who that is, check here.

After thwarting a couple of presumed terrorists in Marseille a couple of days ago, Paris just got hit again by a man with an assault rifle shooting a policeman and injuring another.

    so sad.

How this plays into the french elections, expect a strong rise of tge right.
