He could always fire Mueller if he really wanted to. He'd just face immense criticism if he did. Replacing the Attorney General may make firing Mueller easier, but I still doubt he would unless the writing was really on the wall. If he did, the Republicans would have to disown him and impeachment could follow. Be interesting to see how it all plays out!

I've heard talk about this for a while, mostly from Brexit supporters who were terrified of the idea. Never thought it would actually be floated as legitimate idea though

I think its more a response to trump trying to intimidate Europe for NATO cash. It's Macron saying "If you're gonna keep trying to shake us down we'll just fuck off out of NATO and look after ourselves".

Mind you he wouldn't have proposed it if it didn't have some credence.
What a ridiculous clusterfuck of totally uncool jokers.

"At the end of June the EU’s foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, will outline a “global strategy on foreign and security policy”. That grandly titled paper will call for deeper EU security and military cooperation, an aim supported by many countries, including Germany. But, contrary to reports, it will not propose an EU army. “There is absolutely no plan to set up an EU army with the global strategy,” a spokeswoman for Mogherini said." May 27th 2016

Suspicion of the subtext of the EU once again seems less 'crackpot'.

Wish I hadn't read the news this morning - this is horrible.
I can't imagine how the rest of her kids and family are feeling right now.

"Man charged with crossbow murder of pregnant woman in Ilford"

Weird that it took me all of 2 minutes to find out that the person arrested for this murder is the woman's ex-husband and yet this isn't mentioned in any of the reports.

    Absurd meets sinister.
The sooner somebody high up at FB gets locked up, the better.
Remember their supposed crusade against 'fake news'?
    Read below.

Facebook employ right wing PR firm and hosts of a 'fake news' website to deflect criticism by blaming George Soros for their negative publicity in a move that goes beyond duplicity.

It's crazy how much things have changed for Facebook and Zuck in particular over the years, he was going all ethical and preachy before it started going wrong as if he was looking to make a move into politics or something.

What's people's opinion on the Easter Island statue thing? Do you think it should be returned to its origin? Is it in a better place in the British Museum? If this is returned, then doesn't it set up terms for other nations to claim back what they've had stolen through the years?
