Kind of sad, feels like we are picking over the bones of a dead carcass here that was Blueprint.

Sad day. I never even knew Floor Odoriser was Paul Shier! That's the revelation for me. Makes it weird now when I remember getting told off by this anonymous older forumer for talking shit, this is years ago. Would've blown my mind if Id've know then I was getting schooled by one of the most stylish british skateboarders ever. Weird. Hi Paul! Good luck in the fallout bro.

Haha. Funny thing is that for a very brief time I used to think FO was Shier as well - all due to something he mentioned about Fairfields...
Which one is greater, Sun or Moon?

The answer is The Moon because Sun shines in the day when there is already light available. But moon shines in the night when there is no light.

What was it that made Blueprint feel the need to spread into America exactly in the manner that they did?
Lack of satisfaction with its UK only identity? To follow in Death Box / Flip footsteps?
They had appeal with their total UK identity further afield than the UK for sure. For me Blueprint had massive appeal in that it had such established roots in UK skateboarding, churned out great products, had a great team, this seems to have gradually been diluted.
I am not sure that there is another all out UK company that is or can be as strong as BP once were. It would take some beating.
It seems like it has had a seriously negative impact on a once great UK company.
These could seem like silly questions to some but I am curious.
I do understand that it could all have been ambition to take the company to some next level, that is all well an good but it seems to have been rather detrimental. Was there some other way that they could have boosted themselves? Was the Americanisation something of an unnecessary gamble?
I may be about to get educated here but the above is my view of what has gone one. I missed out on a portion of what was going on with them by not being so up to scratch with skate news / happenings for a while.

EDIT: Did they try for the US thing at the wrong time as Euro skating is as strong / accessible as US. (That's my opinion). Perhaps they should have headed for the Euro appeal for that boost. They a) are Euro and b) would have had one hell of a head start on the rest of the huge market that now exists.
Then again, what do I know?
