What a load of shit. If you're shutting down your private skatepark/internet sensation in order to build a bigger one please don't pretend that anything worthy of an RIP has occurred.

When you build it, make it public and then start portraying yourselves as something more meaningful than a park section factory.

Bigger premises will be allow for better sessions as pros will have less chance of being put off by Berra crying in the corner they can just move to the other end of the park.
I haven't been to the berrics for a year or two now ad blocker won't let me, I'm fine with this. Mind you I really wish I could have a session at the park.

Long story involving fake spots...

Never saw the problem with this. People concrete up jersey barriers, Guy had tricks in Fully Flared on indoor ledges made to look outdoor with a select few props, Oyola added concrete banks to the sides of stairs for his Static 2 part. So Berra made a few ledges/kickers & covered 'em in fake brick wall paper. Does that really offend anyone? Same with having an ex-celebrity wife; hardly a crime worth hating someone for. Yeah, he's a self absorbed jebend & the whole scientology thing really doesn't sit well with me but, then again, a number of other big names in the skate industry (Jason Lee) are scientologists & nobody seems to give too shits about that.

I think basically Dill & AVE decided they couldn't put up with him any more for whatever reason & everyone else decided it was cool to hate him because of this. And lets be fair, both of those two have had pretty unsavoury/Douchey parts to their character. I just think Berra is a bit sad, nothing more than that.

I would say that a person can get away with all sorts of anything if they carry it (and themselves) well. However in the case of Berra he has this sort of wounded martyrdom slope to his mannerisms, body language and speech that leads to him carrying it with all the elegance of a broken jaw swinging in the breeze.

Personally I still watch output from the Berrics (like the Bangin' clips, they're still really good on the whole), but anything with a talking head gets muted or avoided at all costs due to the frustration of hearing him speak or hearing his agenda seeping in to the portrayal of others.
