Haha. I knew I couldn't post that without getting called out. It's not that I think he's shit or anything, he's just always seemed a bit average.

Granted I started skating in 2001 so never saw him in his prime and I did like that lakai ad he had for his shoe, nosesliding the rail, but I find his skating pretty 'meh.'

Plus, he's always with carroll and carroll is one of my favourite skaters and has continuously put out amazing footage. Whereas howard's always seemed a bit 'middle aged shred.' If that makes sense.

I understand he might not be the most impressive dude out there to someone who started skating in 2001 but you can't not see how smooth he is.
Dude was well innovative, got 3 tricks named after him! And what tricks... Skated for Plan B, the first, only Plan B that mattered, launched Girl with his mates 20 years ago and it's still one of the best companies around. Chocolate, Fourstar, Lakai, it's all him. He's one of those that contributed to make it progress, make it different and make it what it is now.

Was so impressed by that trick back then, it seemed impossible. Made me want to learn them.

I really, really don't like them these days. Carroll and PJ can make them look good but that tweaked front leg shit Herman, Malto and basically every really good 20 year old does is just stinking. It's the new yo flip.
