How is your switch push?
How is your switch push?
Can you do ollie norths or frontside indys?
If you're asking that question it means you probably don't have the right mind set for skating.
Entitlement to free stuff is terrible attitude, and you know it you little imp.
Everyone loves getting free stuff, who wouldn't but I'm betting the majority of kids these days who are going out looking to get sponsored, only want to do so, so they can say "I'm a sponsored skater."
No you're not. And you'll give up when you realise you won't be good enough. Skate for fun and see what comes from having a laugh and travelling with your mates. Nearly all that seek sponsorship, fail. Sometimes they just don't get anywhere near good enough and sometimes they do but the incessant crazed sponsor me attitude will put sponsors off.
where the fuck has modesty gone?
when i was 15 i wrote a letter to rollersnakes with a list of the tricks I could do (most if it was either eccegaeration or complete lies) and how i planned to represent them in Ireland
i hadn't heard anything after a week so i rang and asked what the hell was up, did they not get my letter, where was my package??
funny memories of a magic time in my life. you have to admire this kid for his innocence.
He posts on here so...
If you think about this point from the venal, mercenary position that a skate company is forced to adopt it makes perfect sense. In other words, if you own a skate company and you sponsor people who can rip to high standard on a wide variety of terrain you're safe taking them on tour and showing all the kids everywhere that they rip regardless. If they've just got endless manny variations or something specific like that they won't be so marketable. I don't know... its unfortunate that anyone has to think about skating through that lens (i.e. making bucks) but its necessary in a capitalist economy.
