    Default Partridge thread.

Can we just have a whole thread? Too much quality Alan material gets lost in other threads.

    Latest on the film here:

Aaarg, spoliers! Looks like a Bond-ish plot to me. I wonder if he'll kill him off?

I've got to say I'm very uneasy about this film.

There has never been any sub par Partridge output (with the audiobook possibly the best of the lot), but comedies basically never translate well onto the big screen (In The Loop excepted, along with maybe The Inbetweeners because it seemed to have a heart & more than a few laughs), so I'm doing everything superstitious in the hope that this will be comedy gold.

We just have to hope Iannucci wouldn't let anything sub par reach our screens.

(I also had porridge for 'deckfast'.)

Like you say In the loop is a huge exception. It does ring alarm bells when you see Coogan in shit like that Fogg film but Iannucci obviously was not behind that. I have every faith in Armando (Coogan, not so much)

With regards to the film: if Armando Iannucci is involved, I'm backing it. This project has been on the cards for ages and I reckon they've really given some thought as to how the Partridge saga can be transposed to the big screen.

As if this forum didn't already have a Partridge thread! I reckon they'll produce a fucking smasher for the movie, the 'welcome to the places of my life' and the other two newer one-offs they did were fully legit classic Alan i thought.
