I think my brain just exploded. I'm so going to hurt myself in that.

Looks immense. August 9th is a quick turnaround.

Looks a lot like that Nike 6.0 tunnel but made out of concrete.

It's got a nice Ewer Street vibe to it.

So disappointing, of everything they could've done with the pretty cramped space they went a built a pretty gnarly looking transition heavy setup. Hardly the most accessible thing to skate, especially for kids...

What have the kids got to do with it? It's a photo op for the Vans team, and they can all skate it.

That's one of 3 rooms it think, this one looks more betterer for "the kids" (link instead of embed because it's massive)

The layout of the bowl does look a bit wank though. I assume those window/doorway bits need to be kept at least partially open for fire regs or something? because otherwise having two opposite each other is daft they get in the way of lots of potential lines.

Tanks are called tanks because when they move the sound they make is 'tank tank tank tank tank'

Don't forget that this place is not 'just a skatepark' but a music venue, a cinema and a space for community projects etc etc.
And it will be free to use.

    Little trailer video here:

Re hooray's comment - there's the bowl in one room, a street course in another and a crete mini ramp in a third.

That makes FoP's comment all the more relevant.

I'm imagining a similar situation to Daewons picnic table/demo story

"I'm sorry Mr Trujillo, but this skatepark only has concrete ramps. We've made this quarter out of balsa though.."
