Ha, is that the Norwegian Champs SKy kit as well? And a Sky musette? Amazing!

Hugo, have you ever seen pictures of Pantani before he decided to become badass and shave his head? (I'm guessing you have if you watched a documentary on him). He looks like a mousey accountant.

    haha yeah, pre-pirate.

I still couldn't work out from the documentary if he actually took drugs (EPO) or whatever.

Is it a conspiracy that the big wigs published fake records because they didn't want him to ride?

He was still the best though, based on the fact everyone else was also on drugs right?

Ummm slippery slope… In that case Armstrong was also the best whereas Lemond (admittedly not impartial on the matter) called him a top 30 rider at best. Ricardo Ricco, anyone?
I like the story in one of Armstrong's books which goes something like this:
They'd been going toe to toe up some climb and as they reach the top Armstrong shouts in Italian what he claims is 'come on, come on' but his Italian is so bad, apparently, that it sounds like he's saying 'you cunt'.

I'm really confused by dopers and my attitude towards them. On the one hand you have Vino, who I love, on the other Valverde who I do not understand how he gets away with the shit he's done.

If you've got a group of riders and all of them have a race when they are doped and then race again un-doped, would the best rider win both races?

No. First thing you learn in bike racing. The person who crosses the line first is the winner. Not necessarily the best.

And double no. The best rider in each race may not be the same person. I think the evidence is not there to say that all doping effects are equal.

Yeah, what I was saying wasn't my opinion, was just interested.

Is it ok to like cycling but not be too interested in pro racing? haha. It all seems a bit corrupt.

I'll stick to a few sportives and my own endurance rides.

It is whatever it is to you Hugo.. I never used to be interested in pro races but as my interest in cycling grew so did my interest in pro races and other cycling jazz. Just enjoy your own cycling and AVIT, that's the main thing.

Yeah, like Nozzle says, just ride your bike - it has absolutely nothing to do with the pro sport.

Then after a while, realize that pro cycling is fucking amazing - doping or not those guys are ripping themselves inside out. How much more can you love a sport where you spend your whole career knowing you'll never win a race but you're going to fucking kills yourself day after day.

    Obviously.
