haven't missed any work since being back and managing to get on with it, albeit very miserably. but getting on with it is a big step up from earlier so i'll take it

people don't seem to clock that i'm miserable too which is a great sign that i'm not letting it affect how i interact with people as much as maybe i thought i did and that's super reassuring. i cooked for six people over the weekend without once thinking that i was about to ruin their lunch too which was nice

still majorly struggling with keeping my mind on the shit i want and not the fucking shit i don't but i'll get there. maybe

    Reading this made me happy.

trying to keep a calm head has really helped for me.
its hard to make decisions when your brain is playing 10 different movies from 10 different genres all at the same time.

how to keep a calm head is going to be different for everyone, but learning some gentle meditation techniques would be an incredible start.
if i'm struggling to put one foot in front of the other, concentrating on breathing decently for a bit is deeply calming

Been back out skating regularly this month, for the first time in a couple of years. New board, no ACL, no worries. It's done wonders for my mood.

I've been a total loner in terms of skating after moving to Manchester too, but making an effort to say hi to people and socialise a bit has been a breath of fresh air too.
