Aye i rate any bladers i see nowadays, used to hate on them immediately but now i'm a big fan, quite a rare breed. Still got to tell them not to rinse the wax though

still looks absolutely horrible though no doubt but at least they don't push mongo like 99% of scooter kids

It's cool that anybody rollerblading now isn't doing it because it's the trendy thing. They must be doing it because they actually like it, and you're quite unlikely to pull whilst out rollerblading nowadays, unlike in its heyday:

We drove up to a 'secret-ish' spot recently, to find a few cars there, all souped up early-2000s hot hatches with insane amounts of chrome and colour co-ordinated trim, accessories etc, . I said 'oh no, there's some kevs here, that's weird' but one of us immediately said 'nah, those are blader cars'.... sure enough, we got in there and found half a dozen late-20-something bladers. They were all very polite and kept out of our way (even though we didn't ask them to), tidied up after themselves, and left without incident. Good lads, even if they have got life horribly wrong

I only know one blader, he works in our local volcom shop. Went in the other week to buy a new wallet, he recognised me from the skatepark (probably cos i'm old and shit, not cos i'm rad) and gave me 20% off. Nice guy.

There is a blader in Leeds that looks like Danny Brady.

    We call him Danny Blady.

    So rad

(not-very-related: our local shop is called Key News, but we call it Bill & Ted's. Or sometimes The Matrix, or sometimes River's Edge)

On own clothes day when we were 15, me and my good friend Joe went to school on rollerblades and didn’t take any regular shoes (the quad ones - we nicked them from the bin bags they leave out the front of charity shops). After a brilliant day of skating around school and jumping 4 sets in the corridors doing dumb stuff we had Spanish class. My friend Joe had one of those fart machines and put it in to the teachers desk , after setting it off for 30 mins she went ballistic and called him to the front for a good bollocking - one of my best school memories is of him skating to the front of the class and towering over her. Cute little story. Thanks

Did anyone else watch this? The skaters could barely do some of the challenges and then, against all odds, some skater called Tim Prescott won this episode's finale.

Overall, it was as shit as you'd imagine and made blading look better than skateboarding! I hope they offered the skaters decent money.

It was painful. DeTuna and all involved should be embarrassed, but they won’t as none of them have any self awareness. That show did absolutely nothing good for skateboarding at all.
