This grew out of a forum based on Edge Magazine (approx same circulation as Sidewalk used to have), and when Edge Online closed the forum, the members got together and kept the community growing, and in fact it thrived and grew because it was no longer mag-specific.

Eventually they established a society to run the whole thing.
    Very interesting - thanks!

I've put up the discussion forum, hidden away from unregistered users: http://vixendev.co.uk/resources/external/sidewalkmag/

It's set on manual approval, so just register for now. I need to eat, I'll get users approved later tonight/tomorrow.

I always read your name as "and yo" but I guess it is Andy O.

    Also, nice work.

That Edge thing is super interesting.

I've spent the last 10+ years running a private forum for ex members of a much earlier incarnation of the Slap forums. It's not been a huge amount of effort. The costs have been absorbed into things I would have already paid for and the maintenance has been minimal.

@andyo, have signed up to your forum, so happy to talk more on there and hopefully give a useful perspective.

Was half tempted to claim my account under someone else's moniker though. Would be actually pretty hilarious if we all took each other's existing N26 account names on the new forum.

I've been given some contact details for a company involved in the liquidation. Before I do anything let's all make sure they have one point of contact, no good if we all start phoning up. But maybe we discuss this on the forum andyo set up.

    Unlikely but possible?

to make things easier perhaps keep your username as it's just for discussion currently.
