    Default So Blueprint Returns....

Really don't feel comfortable about this in the slightest. Guess bought the rights and this is what people did. Don't want to name drop but this is bollocks.

"Blueprint has come a long way since it's inception in the mid-90's. Originally a UK only brand, they have now branched out to become one of the most respected brands the world
    over."

Hmm dunno about that, thought it had been dead for the last 7 years.

Saw it was £54.99 and thought 'that's a bit steep for just a deck', but it's actually for a complete

It seems a weird move to do this now, anyone that was into Blueprint years ago won't be buying these and anyone just starting now won't even know the brand.

The only thing I could think of is people late 20's early 30's who stopped skating, have kids who want a board - they go into a shop and recognise Blueprint??? Maybe?

Just lazy, bought the name, all the graphics make completes ... why would you not make a new brand.

You answered your own question there, laziness. Why bother spending time/ effort creating a new brand identity when you can just chuck some money and get something where all that hard work is done for you. And yeah comes with the added bonus of brand recognition to a section of older skaters out the game.

And especially if you've been in the industry as long as say, I dunno, Matt Anderson and Steve Douglas (to pick two random names) and you've got easy distro routes available.

    Hahahaha.

I just really didn't want this to happen to T'Print but hey ho.

Isn't there another Distro now that took Primitive from Rock Solid?

Don't really understand getting precious about something like this really, totally different people behind it and only the graphics and name are the same.

If the OG guys behind it rebooted it as a Sports Direct cheap complete cash grab that would be slightly different. We all know Blueprint died after Make Friends...

The graphics and the name are two pretty significant things to be the same. These two people didn't think of the name or draw those graphics, or have anything to do with making Blueprint as appealing as it was for so many years, so it's understandable that people are going to be pissed off. I'd rather see the OG guys cashing out with a Sports Direct deal.

If you're going down that road, wouldn't it be more useful to look into how it was sold off in the first place?

I don''t think Matt Anderson has anything to do with this, does he?
