Just read the Locomotion one, your points about FF15 are spot on, couldn't believe how quickly the game finished once I started doing the main story bits. Really disappointing game in that respect, but you're right in that all the most enjoyable bits are from meandering around for sure! Nice One Ollie.

    Right. Final fantasy XV.

I'm currently on chapter 1. I've just got to the beach place so have done a few quests and that now.

How the utter fuck are you supposed to fight like 7 enemies at a time? I'm just mashing all the buttons and hoping for the best at times (which is pretty much working).

Do you just get used to it after a while or should I be warping in and out until the enemies have thinned out? It seems impossible to defend when your in the thick of it.

    Maybe I just suck.

i'm only a couple hours in but i can already tell nier automata is gonna be one of the most wicked games i've ever played. the world, environment and even HUD is a non-stop joy to be in/look at, the combat/movement is super fun as is the constant back and forth between MGS-like action and exploration, RPG elements and bullet hell/mecha sequences. it's so fucking good in almost every sense. i can't wait for it to destroy me emotionally when the story really gets going too

got the 100% platinum trophy for bloodborne the other week too. probably my single greatest accomplishment in life

I have no idea how hard this actually is but from what I understand this must have taken ridiculous dedication. Congrats!
Because I don't have man-cave I have to limit my games to ones that I can play for 5-10 minutes when my wife turns her back so I can't play these games. I don't think I could handle the grim atmosphere very well anyway.

If I did though, should I start with Bloodbourne?

I'm very, very, very close to getting platinum on every track & skillgame on Trials Fusion.
If/when I 100% this game (it might be impossible) I genuinely might throw myself a one man party because I will have never, ever have put as much effort into anything else in my life.

Is Steep worth getting? I want a game to make me feel all Christmassy.
