I've tried to muster a fraction of a percentage of enthusiasm for what the future of Playstation & Xbox holds, and judging by huge numbers after most of the launch game titles, I just can't.

The more powerful the machines have got, the more 'realistic' the environments have become and everything just looks all dismal and grey/green/brown. I was browsing the xbox 360 section in Game the other day looking for a present for my brother, and it was just wall to wall space marine/space cowboy/zombie derivative, violent shit set in unpleasant places that I don't want to be in. I was there for ages because literally nothing appealed to me or stood out in any way whatsoever.

GTA V is the exception to the above.

Don't be silly, of course you can play old games, you'll just have to buy them again from market place.
