    Juve 2 - 0 Spurs
    Real Madrid 2 - 0 PSG

(if my rugby predictions were anything to go by, then acutally expect 4 - 4 & 1 - 9)

whilst I don't normally do predictions reckon an England player will get injured this week, sparking the traditional race to be fit for the world cup storyline

Don't think we have a Rooney, Beckham type player that the public would care that much about anymore.

Yep, it’s getting into Owen/Ledley King territory now except he’s not as good.

Nope. He has always been incredibly overrated.

Oh yeah he’s massively overrated, for a while they were calling him ‘world class when fit’ which was just total nonsense. The man has achieved double figures very rarely. Three minutes to me is a huge warning sign, his body must be in an awful state.

City are currently ripping Arsenal apart. They are so great to watch.

    Liverpool fan at work today

    - “I think we’ve got more chance of winning the Champions League than any English team”.

    - Even City?

    - ”Yes. On our day we can beat anyone”.

That makes no sense to me. First of all the term ‘on our day’ is such a stupid term and his theory would actually make Liverpool favourites for the CL. Deluded.

It's got to be City or Barcelona for the CL this year.

No fans are more deluded than Liverpool supporters, world domination is only a few new signings or a few seasons away. I like watching them this year but I'd be suprised if Klopp gets any trophies for them ever.

As for Arsenal last night, it's very strange times when you have managers who are basically told by fans and the media to leave (rightly or wrongly) who just obey those commands but Wenger can just do exactly has he pleases. It's one of the richest clubs in the world but it's fine to just coast along.

It's sad but he should've left last year when he got another FA Cup by convincingly beating the winners of the league. When is the swansong going to be exactly? 2030?

This could finally be the catalyst for change. The only thing Kroenke responds to is profit.

He should have left a few seasons ago. Just gonna be remembered for being shit now instead of the trophies he did win

Generalisation much? I'm a Liverpool fan and in 30 years of supporting Liverpool I have never so much as thought, let alone spoken aloud anything like "next year will be our year", neither for that fact has any Liverpool fan that I know. I am sure they exist these deluded fans among the ranks of Liverpool fans, but no more than any other team. I've been quietly optimistic though and I've been disappointed many times. I feel that we are objectively closer to some form of silverware under Klopp than we have been for a long time however, for the simple reason that we a steadily progressing, rather than performing in fits and starts. He even seems to have noted that our defence can be a bit shit and has started taking action to try and shore it up which has not happened in any meaningful sense for some time. Whilst I have no illusions that we will win the Champions League, I wouldn't bet big money against us to beat Barcelona or Man City over two legs. We've shown that we are capable. It just depends which Liverpool team turns up on the day, and even though it's still hardly plain sailing, the shit Liverpool which crumbles seems to be appearing less and less often recently.
