Default Let us talk about films

Let's have a good chat about films. A continually updated movie recommendations and reviews thread if you like.
In this thread arthouse and world cinema will be smiled upon, Hollywood shite will not! (especially if it's the Da Vinci Code )

Two nights ago i watched A Bittersweet Life. This is a great South Korean revenge flick and i heavily recommend it. Lee Byeong-heon is excellent as a hotelier and Mob hitman who falls for the 'unfaithful' lover of his boss. Que all hell breaking lose (though of course, very stylishly!)

    for more about it check
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0456912/
    http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/...p?DVDID=117221

    to watch i still have
the revenge trilogy of Park Chan-wook
    the Almadovar box set
    and Adaption

at the moment i'm really feeling Thai and South Korean cinema

Brotherhood, JSA, Ong Bak, the Revenge trilogy, beautiful boxer, champion etc are all great

Adaptation is a very enjoyable film, I did Spike Jonze as my auteur study in film studies and watch Adaptation several times. Take note of what Nicholas Cage says at the start in the resturant about what he doesn't want in the film...

EDIT: Oh wait you said 'Adaption', is that a typo or a different film?

That film is gnarly. What happened to Edward Furlong?
He's John Connor and a naughty nazi...is he anything else?
