Kid of rate it, kind of hate it. Conflicted.
He's worked with Jeremy Deller in the past on Folk Archive. I know what you mean, but I think they both come at it from a genuine desire to celebrate culture that gets overlooked.

I want to like him ( Deller ) but I find it excruciating at times. Some things are better when they stay over looked.

Has anyone made it to Ryoji Ikeda's Test Pattern?

It's simply beautiful to experience, however the crowd it has drawn kind of detracts from the experience. If anyone is interested, try going really early in the day.

I think he's found a pretty original way to be an artist and not take the typical ego-driven path to making work.
I'm not feeling the Fuck Brexit stuff he's just done; it's a bit Banksy.

Yeah I wanted to check that out, I only have Sundays off mostly though which is a total mare to try and do anything, gallery or kids wise.

Ah, sorry. Maybe scoot down on your lunch break? Each 'session' is only about ten minutes. I queued for about the same length of time. It's definitely worth it if you can visit it. Quite an experience, even if being surrounded by people streaming it or doing photo shoots or whatever.

That's reassuring. Deller's good, mainly because he really researches his work and gets the history of the things he's talking about.

If he was really doing this properly he'd leave it up until at least late spring.
